True Story

I have a card I wanted to share today that I had made for one of Hunter's teachers.  She was new to the school this year, and Hunter totally loved her!  She was even from Canada, which is right up Hunter's alley! (totally obsessed with Canada, don't know why...)  I had plenty of notice to get this done, and I was really happy with the end result.  She never got it.  Nope, totally spaced it.  We even talked about it the night before, and planned on having it all ready to go in the morning.  Epic fail.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened, and I am sure it won't be the last.  It's the thought that counts, right???  lol!

Good thing is, we hadn't written anything in it yet, so I can use it in the future for somebody else.

Here it is-

This is Pure Innocence Waterlily, and the sentiment
is from PI Carnation.

Yep, even made a box envelope for it!!

Oh well, live and learn!  Hunter says she gave her a big hug, and truth be told, that's all she probably wanted.

Well, now that the Thanksgiving season is over, it's time to focus on Christmas!!!  I have seen so many of the stamp/paper companies moving on to Valentine's Day, but I am not ready for that!  You will see nothing but Christmas fun on my blog for the next couple of weeks!!  lol!

Time for me to dig out the tree and lights!!  I hope all of you have a great weekend!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ragged Angel

First Thanksgiving down, two more to go!!  Had a great day with the in-laws this past Saturday!  Lots of great food, wine, games, and catching up with everyone!

Since this is Thanksgiving week, I thought a little blog candy would be a fun way to say thank you to all of you that visit my blog!!!

Before I get to that, I wanted to share a framed image I have made for the holiday season!  I used a Mo Manning image called Ragged Angel.

I removed the glass so that I could use whatever embellishments
I wanted, it gives it a great 3D look!

Now back to that blog candy!

I have an awesome Paper Smooches stamp set called Simply Said, that I am giving away!  It is a great sentiment set that you can use for so many different occasions!

Now, how do you win?

1st-  Gotta be a follower!!
2nd-  Gotta leave me a comment!
3rd-  Spread the word! (not mandatory, but fun!)

I will pick a winner on Black Friday!!  (November 28th!)

Thanks for stopping by, and good luck!!!

Merry Christmoose!

I was fortunate to have recently won the new Christmas Moose set from Sugar Pea Designs!!!  This is huge, I never win, like...ever.  My husband is one of those people who wins without even trying. (those people are so annoying!) lol!  So I decided to ink the ol' moose up and play along with the sketch challenge over at Sugar Pea!!

I gave the sketch a little tweaking when I put this together.

This is one of the many sentiments that come with
the set.

I had cut this sled on my Cameo, and had no idea
what to do with it.  I like the rustic element
it adds to this little fella!
The tag is a die from Reverse Confetti.

That's all for me today!!  Time to hit the craftroom!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Time to clean up my craftroom so that I can mess it up all over again!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

I've Been Framed!!

I hope everyone has kept warm this week!  Here in Colorado we have been super cold with single digit temps!!  It's ok though, it totally puts me in the mood for Christmas crafting!

Today I wanted to share a quick tutorial with you.  I had a visitor to my blog ask me how I create the black frame lines around some of my images.  It's super simple, and goes a little something like this-

This little fella is from CC Designs
First, I selected the shape and size of the die I wanted to use.
This is just a rectangle from one of my Spellbinders sets.

After I have cut him out with the die, I am going to flip over the
die, cut side up.

Next, I hold the image and die up to the light and center
the image the best I can by looking at the inside
shape of the rectangle.

Once I have it where I want it, I tape it in place
on the back side.

Now I flip the little guy over.

Here's the fun part!  Start making your lines!!

I usually make totally random size lines.

When I have all of my lines in place, I remove the die.

Finally, you are free to add dots, hearts, stars,
whatever you want in the spaces you left!

Totally easy!!  It is also fun to free hand lines! The imperfections in the free hand lines can really add
character to your image!

I am off to start a little Christmas shopping!!  I hope you enjoyed the tutorial!

Thanks for stopping by!!

It's Official!

I think that here in Colorado we have skipped ahead to Winter!!  It snowed.  I hate being cold.  It's a good excuse though, to stay inside and craft all day!!!!

Today I am sharing a card that may make you a tad hungry!  It's an image from The Greeting Farm, and her name is Amelia.

She is from the Just for You set. (retired)
The patterned paper is from Doodlebug.

Funny story about this image-
I initially colored her apron and handkerchief pink,
bright pink.  It just didn't look right, so I colored
over it with red!  (you would've never known!!)

Well, that's really all I have today!  Hope you all stay warm!

Thanks for stopping by!

Special Autumn

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!  I have been busy doing a lot of fun things with my family and friends!

Warning- Picture heavy post!

On Friday, my bestie and I went to the Colorado Country Christmas Show!  It is a huge deal here in Denver.  It is the one even that gets me into Christmas mode!  What did I buy, you might ask??

Right away we found these-

These gorgeous headbands from Little J Headbands-

I love these!!  These are some pics from their site that shows the
different ways you can wear these.
I bought a few for myself (even though I have a pixie cut, they
are still pretty cute), some for Maddie, and a few for Christmas
gifts!  I have a feeling I will NEED a few more!  LOL!
You can find video tutorials on their site on how to wear these!
(go HERE)

I also spent a big chunk of time at the Origami Owl booth-

Wrap Bracelets
Bought one of these....
Lanyards & Lockets
And one of these....

Great Christmas gifts!!

Also hit this booth pretty hard-

Little Sign Shop (on Etsy)

These are examples of the items she makes-

Of course I also bought all sorts of food.  Ok, maybe just sweets.  All in all, it was a pretty successful day!

Saturday we went to a fundraiser for Hunter's school!  They had a special showing of the movie "Super Deafy"!

It was a fun movie, and I enjoyed seeing so many people from surrounding deaf communities come and support our school!

Lastly, I finally got to watch MALEFICENT!!!

What a great story!!!

I have to admit, I am not a huge Angelina Jolie fan, but she was soooo good!!!!!!  I totally loved this movie!  We were all on the edge of our seats!  Even Hunter loved this movie! (and trust me, that's saying a lot!!)  I am glad I bought the blu-ray, because I am sure my kids are going to want to watch this a few more times!

Whew!  I think I fit most of the things in here I wanted to share with you....

Nope, wait!!

I found out yesterday morning that I won one of the new releases from Sugar Pea!!!  Yaaaaay!!  They have some awesome new releases that just came out, you might want to take a look!!!  (here)

Store-Merry-Christmoose
This is the set I won!!  Perfect for me, I love me some Moose-s??

Just A Note

I am super excited today for the Colorado Country Christmas show!!  It's such a fun place to look for Christmas decorations and gifts, but the highlight is all of the food there!!!!

Today I am sharing a real simple card for any occasion.  I used the Wild Sprouts image named Dahlia, she is from The Greeting Farm.

She is such a sweetie pie!!

Totally hooked on the YR14, YR18, & E09 combo!

She is always fun to color up!!

I am outta here!!  Places to go, and people to see today!!

Thanks for stopping by!
