What a week!

Wow, this past week has been a blur!!  Time to switch gears and move on to Christmas now!  We celebrated 3 different Thanksgivings this week, and each one was special, and delicious!

I seriously have a ton of stuff to do now, Christmas cards are first on my list!  I may change things up a bit this year and send ornaments instead of cards. (If I can squeeze them all in, in time!)  Maddie and I sat down  together a while ago and came up with a few ornaments.

Here's a peek-
Maddie does such a good job, can't tell whose are whose, can ya!?  We used a ton of chipboard!!  It was fun using different papers, nesties, and some distressing inks.  We used a ton of pop-dots too, to give the ornaments some serious detail in the layers.  (Snowman-Unity, Girl-Miss Anya Scarves from The Greeting Farm, Be Merry-Recollections.)

I have a feeling a lot of things I will be making will need to be more simple, kind of like this...
I know, very CAS, but it will work in a pinch!  I have been having a blast with my snowflake patterned embossing folder! (Tree and sentiment from Avocado Arts.)

Time to go work off some of my Thanksgiving pound-age, and digging out the tree and ornaments might be just the exercise I need! (That's always the hardest part! lol!)

Have a good weekend everyone!!

Thanks for the clothes!

I have an awesome friend, Kim, who has been giving Maddie some awesome hand-me-downs.  I wanted to say thanks, so this is what I came up with!

This was really fun to make!

I used some different pieces of clothing from Some Odd Girl's Kaylee's Closet set.  I wet embossed them with just plain black embossing powder on patterned paper so that the lines of the clothing would really stand out against the patterns.  I have had these little clothespins forever, and this was the perfect opportunity to get them out!  I tied knots at the end of plain natural colored jute twine, and popped the clothes up with 3d dots to make them lay nicely while being attached to the clothespins.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.  I have several Paper Smooches sentiment sets, they are some of my fav go-to sets for picking just the right saying.

I hope you are all excited for this upcoming Thanksgiving holiday this week!  Hunter has the entire week off, and Maddie only has two days of school.  We have lots planned, but it's also nice to just do nothing together at home with family.

BTW- I saw Breaking Dawn II on Friday night!  Really great movie, definitely my favorite one out of them all.  It was a bittersweet event, finally getting to see the ending, but also knowing that was the end.  I would love to hear what you all thought of it after you see it!  I will be taking the girls to see it sometime this week, they were super jealous that I saw it without them.

Have a great Sunday!

Would you like a Cuppa?

Say what?  Yes, a Cuppa, Cuppa Mae from Some Odd Girl!  Check this out!

If this doesn't say wintery holiday goodness, I don't know what does!

What a cozy new digi!  I had a lot of fun with her coffee cup.  I traced over the steam a bit with a white pen.  The black lines were blending into her hair, and steam is a foggy white color, so I gave them a boost.  I also used Glossy Accents over the coffee part in her cup. (of course you can't see it here! grrr)

What a fun digi release this has been!  Love every one of them!  Head over to Some Odd Girl to pick yours up!  Want to see more winter inspired yummy cards??  Head over here!

Time for some SOG digi goodness!

Happy Monday to all!  Maddie, my little one, is wrapping up a 4 day weekend! (wow)  Hunter will have the entire week of Thanksgiving off, and I think that makes more sense.  It's a little difficult having two kids in two different school districts, nothing ever seems to coincide!  Oh well.

Anyone in a Some Odd Girl new digi release mood??  I am, check it out!!

 This newbie is Snowfall Kaylee!

Love her!!  I stamped a giant snowflake in her hand, but
you could put anything you want there!
(can't see it in the pics, but the snowflake is very sparkly!)

Interested?  Hop on over to Some Odd Girl for your digi fix!  Check back for some more SOG inspiration over the next two days, my SOG team-mates and I have some wintery fun waiting for ya!!

On a totally unrelated note-

I tried a new recipe that I found on Pintrest this weekend, and OMG, it was to die for!!

Details here!
Lots of chocolatey, peanut butter, yellow cake, sweetened condensed milk goodness!

Happy Tuesday

Doesn't it feel like once we hit October the days whiz right past us with all of the holiday busy-ness??  I haven't even scratched the surface of all the Christmas projects I want to accomplish before Christmas actually gets here!!!

Today I just have a few little cuties I wanted to share quickly.  Who really has time for a big ol' long post today anyhow??

I finally got to color up one of my Big Anyas from The Greeting Farm!

Gotta love Whatcha Doin Wryn from Tiddly Inks!

Alrighty, I'm off!!  I've got a meeting today, and a million other things to do!
