And now, his royal highness...

Prince Ian!!!

Isn't he dreamy!!  A perfect fit for our new princess!  I had so much fun with him.  I colored his hair differently every time!  Can't you just see yourself getting swept off your feet and taken away to his gorgeous castle!!  On the easel card I used some paper from Hobby Lobby's The Paper Studio, twine, a button, some brown gingham ribbon, and a few different Nestabilities.  I also placed a few brown pearls in the corners, didn't want to make it too girlie!!  On the second card I used some paper from October Afternoon's Farmhouse, a charm from Recollections, gray ribbon, and some gray bling in the corners.  He really was a lot of fun to color up!

Just one more day, and all these cuties can be yours!!!

Frilly little girl!

So, did everyone see the super cute 4th Princess that The Greeting Farm previewed today?  Talk about a cutie!!!  Loved everyones' cards showcasing the little beauty!

Today I have a Some Odd Girl card that I put together.  I made her super girlie with lots of floral print.

This is Gifty Gwen!

She is so perfect for a birthday!  I used MME paper, MME flower and pennant "buttons", and my fav embellishment ever...natural twine!  Luckily I had this flower on hand, I'm so bad about buying flowers, they are always so darn expensive!!

Short post for me, lots to do today!  Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for more TGF previews!  We still have a few to go!!!!

Birthday goodies

First I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all of the kind supporters I had on my blog yesterday!!!  You were all too kind!  This first new release from The Greeting Farm made me a little nervous, but now I say "bring it on!"  I can't wait to see what the other team members have for us today!!!

Today I wanted to share some small gifts that I made for my sister-in-law's, and my niece's birthday.  Both items were made with The Greeting Farm's Glimmer and Shimmer Beans.

A sketch book for my niece.

Easel post-it pad for my SIL.

In light of the current challenge over at TGF,(no coloring), I decided to use pink and blue distress inks on these girls, and color them in a little less-traditional fashion. (not using these for the challenge, just inspired by it.)  I used just two copics on each of the girls' hair, and lots of glitter pens/markers, and glitter glue.  The pink paper I used on the sketch book was a really old sheet that I had, I think it came from Hobby Lobby.  I used a few flowers, some washi tape, and ribbon on the side.  The easel pad was constructed from a piece of My Minds Eye-Lime Twist series.  I cut out a few nesties shapes, tied some baker's twine and button, and a few pieces of bling.  When my SIL opened her post-it pad, she warned the kids that it was HERS, and they were not going to use it!! LOL!  I am always using post-it notes, but have yet to make a easel pad for myself!!!

TFL!!

p.s.
Try not too drool too hard over the TGF new releases!!! ;p

Sneak Peek!!

Welcome to the MAY PREVIEW DAYS with The Greeting Farm!

Before I get to showing you some brand new projects today with some FRESH new stamps, we just have a few announcements we'd love to share:

First of all, we are adding ONE NEW PREMIERE FARMER this month!  Please help me welcome RACHEL PARYS to the TGF Design Team... we are thrilled to have her and her beautiful card making skills on board! (I'm so psyched!)

Second, we've had some changes to TGF Challenges and are very grateful to have heard such positive feedback so far as we've turned them over to our Showcase DT.   Please make sure you visit the TGF Blog (and check out it's cute new makeover while you're there!) and tune into the Left-hand sidebar for all of our current challenges in ONE place!

It is my pleasure to share with you the newest Cheeky member...

 CHEEKY GEEKY!

I am completely in love with this new Cheeky!  On the first card I used paper from October Afternoon, and a piece of scrap notebook-like paper that I stamp with distress ink using a bunch of sentiments from TGF.  The second card was made with Echo Park paper, and ribbon/flower from Bo Bunny.  I used Glossy Accents on her glasses to help make them look a little more real!  This girl is too much fun!  I know all of you will be jumping online to get her on the 1st!!!

Stay tuned, this is just the first preview!

Big, bright, and pink!

Today I finished a Some Odd Girl card for my niece Joey.  She will be 7 years old this weekend, and her favorite color is..... yep, PINK!

This is Flower Kaylee!

There is a lot going on, on the top part of this easel card, so I kept it simple on the bottom and used a glittery number 7!  I used Echo Park's Summer Days, it had the perfect shade of pink that I was looking for.  The white lacy looking border in the background was made with a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page punch.  I used flowers, twine, buttons, ribbon, and some old bottle caps from my stash.  This is pretty big, I think I left it at 6" x 6" for the top page.  I hope she likes it, Maddie said it was "fantastic"!  (knew I wanted her opinion!) ;)

Today I also finished up a card for two different challenges.  The Greeting Farm has a "No Coloring" challenge this week, and Anyone For Anya has a "Music in April" theme.  Here's what I came up with!

This is Tank from The Greeting Farm.

Since I couldn't color, I decided to stamp him on something unusual, canvas.  I used paper from Bella Blvd and a Glitz paper pad.  The guitars in the background fit with the "music" theme.  Lots of sewing!!!  Twine, button, and a few metal brads.  I like him, it's different!

Off to start dinner, and finish my long list of projects!

Fun!

I had a chance on Friday to start my sister-in-law's birthday card.  I have been dying to color up cute little Wryn, who is hanging upside down from a tree branch.  I love the fun, care-free feeling you get from the image.  It reminds me of being little and playing on the playground for hours!!!!

Hop over to Tiddly Inks if you want to scoop her up!

This darn thing took me forever!!!  First I wanted to have some soft clouds in the background.  I didn't have the right color of distress ink, so I got out the chalk.  It took me a few minutes to cut out another image of her to use for masking. (it's a miracle I didn't cut the poor girl's head off!)  I finished my clouds with my chalk and a cloud template, and when I went to remove my masking, I found out the adhesive I used wasn't so "temporary" after all.  Now  I had to cut out a whole new image to color and place over the ripped original image.  Several hours later...I finally had everything colored, cut, pasted, etc.  I was really happy with her, and only embellished a little bit, I want her to be the main focus.  I used a simple red/white polka dot paper from a Jillibean paper pad.

I also made a bookmark for my daughter's teacher the other day to go along with the card we had for her.  The picture is awful, but she was cute and I wanted to share her.

This is Annika from The Greeting Farm.  She is one of my all-time favs.  How perfect is it that she is carrying some books!  The paper I used on this was from the Simple Stories Fabulous paper pad.

I have lots of birthdays to prep for this week!  I hope to have lots of fun posts for you.  Be sure to check back with me mid-week, I will have some super exciting stuff to share with you!!!!!!!!

Spotlight

I finally had a chance today to open up the really cute Spotlight kit that I bought from The Greeting Farm a while back.  It's a super cute set with all sorts of fun images and sentiments.  I made this card for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday-Classic Patterns challenge.  I also used the sketch from Anyone For Anya.

She is such a sweetie pie!

I tried a little different color with her hair, I am not a big fan of brassy yellow blonde hair, so I used my Y21, Y38, and E33.  I am really happy with that color of blonde!  I used paper from Simple Stories Fabulous pad.  I have a penant punch that I bought from Stampin Up that I used and put fun sentiments on them.  And in case you can't tell, I almost always use chalk on cheeks.  I really stink at drawing them on with copics.  If the image has a really tiny face, and not a lot of cheek, then I will color them in.

My 7 year old, Maddie, fell in love with this and claimed for her teacher's birthday on Thursday.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Birthday celebration!

Today I have a Some Odd Girl birthday card for my stamping buddy Kim!  She's the one who got me into this stamping trouble in the first place!

  This is Gifty Gwen.
The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm's Luck Bunnies set.

I also made this card for the Some Odd Girl challenge, which is using these colors:

Here's a birthday surprise for her-

I purchased a gift card from Kristy at SOG, and then printed it out and made it ab-fab!  I love that image!
I used a Martha Stewart punch that goes all the way around.

I used Echo Park's Happy Days for the patterned paper.  I have to let you in on a secret, I totally was not happy with how her dress had turned out, it was green and just didn't look right.  I had already colored everything else and did not want to waste her, so I had a huge epiphany after looking at my blogging buddy Annie Rose's daily post.  She had done a stellar job of paper piecing the clothes of the image she had colored, so then I realized Gwen could be saved!  I always forget about paper piecing.  She looks a million times better than the way I had colored her dress!  Thanks for the inspiration Annie!  I worked hard on trying my hand at shadowing her features on her face.  I used the darker skin colors and a few other surprising colors mentioned here in a fabulous tutorial on SOG's blog! (thanks Melissa!)  Also used some twine, MME brad, Recollections bling, and some butterflies I made from my Cuttlebug.

Here's my copic list:

Skin- E50, E000, E00, E11 and some BV's mentioned in the tutorial.  R01 for cheeks, R32 for her lip.
Hair- E49, E55, E57.
Dress/Accessories- R32, R35 & B02, B04, B05.

Thanks for looking!! xx

Mini Wryn

Hello my blogging buddies!  I don't know how, or when, but I managed to throw together another small card.  Not quite as small as the previous one, but smaller than my usual.  I was crazy busy today!

Wryn-Grow a little love, from Tiddly Inks!

Yes, I know, I went completely nuts with the sewing. (way over did it!)  Live and learn.  I am still pretty happy with her though, love these colors!!!  The patterned paper is from Dear Lizzy Neopolitan paper pad.  The sentiment is from the Lucky Bunnies set from The Greeting Farm, and I stamped it on a sticker from Jillibean.  Crocheted the flower myself, and the brad is from a Hobby Lobby set.  I played with some orange markers that I don't normally use, and I was pretty pleased with their color.  No, didn't keep track of which two. (sorry)

I am stoked that tomorrow is FRIDAY!!  I will be hitting the movie theater and a big bag of popcorn pretty hard in the morning with my buddy Kim.  Since I finished all of my "chores" today, maybe I will have more time to play tomorrow and catch up with some challenges!!!  TGIF!

Wee one

I have been very busy on a top secret mission, stay tuned at the end of the month to find out what that is.....

For right now, all I have is a tiny little fellow for one of the current challenges over at The Greeting Farm-"Good things come in small sizes".

Sorry, couldn't get a great focus on something so small!

I think I made this 3" x 3 1/2".  I used the Lucky Bunnies clear stamp set for the sentiment and gift.  The paper is from Pebbles.  (wish that came in a 6x6 pad!)  A few Nesties and voila!  I told myself that I need to make more of these to have on hand.

Hope to have more to post tomorrow!  This has been a loooonnnnggg week!

Warm Fuzzzies

I just finished up a card for The Greeting Farm Splitcoast Stampers Challenge (a sketch), and Anyone For Anya's Teal Challenge.  I used my, new to me, H&G Snuggle stamp. (she's an oldie, but goodie!)

She is just adorable!  I used MME's Ooh La La- for her paper pad for the patterned paper.  The sentiment on the front is from Jillibean.  The lacy ribbon on the bottom is from American Crafts.  The flowers were a clearance score from Michaels!!  The sentiment on the inside is from TGF's Lucky Bunnies set.

Copics-
hair-E09 E15 E18
dress-BG72 BG78 bows and trim- BG10 BG11 BG13
bunny-E50 E53 tummy-E04 R00

My girls made "Monster" Easter eggs tonight, it was a lot of fun!!

I will definitely buy this kit again next year!!

Whoa....

It is super windy here in Colorado today!  I HATE wind!  It always happens on a good hair day too, right!?

I got the most gorgeous happy mail yesterday!!!!  It was so pretty, I didn't even want to open it up!

That ticket stub in the middle, that's gonna be my big winner at this summer's CHA!

Yep, got me some cutie patootie Some Odd Girl stamps!  If you haven't checked out SOG yet, you really should.  They also have digital stamps for those of us who need instant gratification!! ;p  To learn more about my raffle ticket and CHA, go here!  Can't wait to use these beauties!

As for my Easter basket project I started, well I finally finished. (literally just now!)  They are small, but with all of the grandmas & grandpas, and aunts & uncles, the Easter bunny, etc., I think they hold just enough.

For those of you who may have missed the first pics, these little bunnies are from The Greeting Farm's Lucky Bunnies set.  It's a really great set that I recommend.  You can use it for so many different things!

Better go get the kiddos from school!  Hopefully I will sneak one more post in sometime this weekend...maybe.

And don't forget to check out Tiddly Inks!  They have yet another cute little Wryn for you to drool over!!!!

April 5, 2012

Tiddly Inks is 2!

This week has been an exciting week over at Tiddly Inks!!!  Yep, they are celebrating TI's 2 year birthday!!!  And in honor of all the TI fun-ness, I have created a card to go with their "Frame The Moment" theme.....

This is a really big easel card!
 Wryn and Wren-Too Tweet!

It's a miracle, I listed my Copics!! (bad pic though)

Where to start...   Don't ask me how I made the frame, I probably couldn't do it again if I tried!(it was a pain!)  But, honestly, I am pretty happy with how it turned out!  I used a piece of kraft paper to create the sides of the frame, and then I covered it in the brown/white gingham ribbon.  I used two different Nestabilities to create the dark brown frame on the front.  Inside the picture with Wryn, I used some MME Lime Twist paper for some cute clouds in the background, and just some green cardstock and an EK edge punch for the ground.  The patterned paper on the card is from Little Yellow Bicycle-Paradise.  The flower was one I crocheted myself and stuck the cute little pins through it, they are also from LYB.  Some blue ribbon and an MME brad and button finish it off.  Used my little Nesties to add some sentiments that I generated on the computer.  Don't forget the dark brown pearls!!(those are my new favs!)

Now if you think this Wryn is cute, hold on to your craft tables because there are a bunch of new cuties that are popping up this week!!!!  If you haven't looked yet, go there now!!!  Their blog is all sorts of fun too!!!  Lots of fun freebies and prizes popping up there!

I love Tiddly Ink characters!  They are all so darn cute and fun-loving, I have been coloring them up left and right.

Happy Birthday Tiddly Inks!!!

April 2, 2012

Lame....

Ok, so I look a little lazy, I haven't posted since when????  I have been working on a little something, and I do mean little.  I found a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers to make a cute and simple little basket.  I don't know about you, but my kids always get way more candy than they could ever eat on Easter.  When I saw these little baskets, I thought these were just the right size to hold a little candy.  I have made some for my kids and my nieces and nephews.

Like I said, very simple.  I will jazz them up a little more when I fill them, and I will try to post some more pics.  I used the Lucky Bunnies stamp set from The Greeting Farm.  I realized after the first two, that I could simply use two-sided paper as well as colored cardstock. (duh)  The rest was kind of made up as I went, edge punches, brads, etc.

TFL!
