Happy New Year!

Everyone have your party hats on?  I will be braving the mall today with my 14 year old, Hunter.  It's her birthday, and what better way to spend it?  Later we will be joining my parents for dinner and celebrate my dad's birthday also!

Here's my dad's card!

Cheeky Shooter from The Greeting Farm!

We will definitely have a "rootin' tootin'" time today!  I hope you all party safely, and have a fabulous new year!!!!

Let the birthdays begin!

Just when you thought you could wind down from Christmas, we are just getting started on birthdays!  Today is my youngest daughter's 7 birthday!  My older daughter Hunter, will be 14 in 2 days.  My dad's is on the same day as Hunter's.  And finally I bring up the rear with my birthday on January 5th.  Needless to say, I have been furiously trying to get all birthday cards finished.

Here's what I came up with-
Sweet and Toxic stamp from The Greeting Farm for Maddie!

Wednesday from The Greeting Farm for Hunter!

Best keep my Dad's a secret in case he's reading this!

Maddie is my girlie-girl, so lots of pink, purple, glitter, and bling.  Hunter is my crazy teen who likes anything but purple and pink! (total opposites!)

Well, off to prep for the first birthday dinner!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Merry Christmas Eve!  My kids are just about to burst waiting for gift opening!!

I have been hot on the birthday card trail.  We have a serious bday problem around this time of year.  My girls will be 7 and 14!  Their bday makes me feel older than my own bday!  Where does the time go?

Here's two of the cards I have prepared so far.  One is for my mom-in-law, and the other is for our nephew who is turning 2!
Miss Anya from The Greeting Farm, and a sentiment from Avocado Arts Stamps.

Oliver from The Greeting Farm.

Now only 5 more to go!  (holy crap)

Hope you all eat, drink, and be merry!

Jingle all the way...

I hope everyone is prepared for Christmas day!  I still have some wrapping to do, and today I plan on doing some serious baking!!!  I know now, that next year I will need to start working on Christmas stuff a lot earlier than I did this year!  I also have a million birthdays to prepare for during the week after Christmas.  Both of my daughters, my dad, my mom-in-law, my nephew, and some friends of the family.  My birthday is January 5th, and by the time that rolls around, everyone is pretty spent.

I worked on an art journal for my nephew who is 8.  He has been drawing some very impressive images, and I wanted to give him something that would encourage his creativity.
I covered the front with some fun boy paper, and then added my recent purchase from The Greeting Farm.  His name is Tank, and I love his attitude!

I also had one last card that I forgot to post, and some teacher gifts I threw together.
Miss Anya.

Amelia gift tags.

I threw together the gift bags out of double sided paper, and stamped images on blank gift tags.

Have a crafty week!

It's the fourteenth!!! Holy......

This month is flying by me!  Too much to do, not enough time.  Pretty much have the shopping done, but not a darn thing is wrapped yet!

Tied up some final loose ends on the ol' Christmas cards.  I stopped by Bugaboo Stamps for a little peek, and ohhh, Nelly, cute stuff for Christmas!!

Sooo much fun!!  Plus, they are having a 50% sale right now, which means their digital stamps are only $1.50!  As you can tell, I stuck with a very "round" theme.  I was trying to hurry, and didn't want to fussy cut all my images out, but I think they still look good.  I also wanted to keep embellishments down to a minimum since they are all going through the mail. (hope they survive!)

Since it's almost the 15th, I have to say, 10 MORE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!  I don't think my kids can stand it!!

Not Finished Yet.

Well folks, I finally mailed out some Christmas cards.  I only got about a half way through.  Hopefully I will be inspired to finish this weekend!

I sent my aunt a small package with a few silly xmas things inside.  Here's a few pics!
Cute little Ebony from The Greeting Farm.

 Christmas tag wallet.

The first pics are a post-it pad easel card that I learned how to make from The Greeting Farm blog, and the second item is a gift tag wallet that I found on Splitcoaststampers.  I was inspired by a card made by Amy Y. on one of The Greeting Farm's challenges, where she paper pieced a pair of p.j.s on her image.  I have a clothes set from one of the older images that I used to put the red stripey p.j.s on Ebony.

Have a great weekend!

TGF Challenge!

I threw together a couple xmas cards based on a couple challenges over at The Greeting Farm.

The first one is for their Friday Spy Day-
Fun loving Miss Anya

And the second is for Monday Fun Day- No Embellishments-
Cutie pie Amelia.
And since I was on a roll...
Let's throw Oliver in there too!

So much fun!  Loved the layout on Friday Spy Day!

December 3, 2011

I am freezing!!  I woke up to a fair amount of snow that crept up on us overnight.  It's a good day to be locked away in the craft room!

I have been trying to finish up my Christmas shopping, and got a fair amount done yesterday.  My husband and I went during the day while most people were at work or school.  I'm happy to report that I only have a few more to go! (sigh of relief)

I have only had a chance to finish up one more xmas card, and I wanted to share it with you today.
Her name is Amelia!  She is from The Greeting Farm's Oliver and Amelia set, Journey.

I didn't really use xmas paper per say, but I think it will still work.  I wanted to use the pearl embellishment and I had to actually cut the bottom off to make it look right, and then I took the left over from the bottom and moved it to the top of the circle.  Pearls make everything look so darn classy!

Hope you all stay warm this weekend, and get lots of crafting done.

If you're looking for some inspiration, go the The Greeting Farm's Challenge Blog.  They have a great card from their Friday Spy Day, that will get your creative juices flowing!
