Everyone have your party hats on? I will be braving the mall today with my 14 year old, Hunter. It's her birthday, and what better way to spend it? Later we will be joining my parents for dinner and celebrate my dad's birthday also!
Here's my dad's card!
Cheeky Shooter from The Greeting Farm!
We will definitely have a "rootin' tootin'" time today! I hope you all party safely, and have a fabulous new year!!!!
Just when you thought you could wind down from Christmas, we are just getting started on birthdays! Today is my youngest daughter's 7 birthday! My older daughter Hunter, will be 14 in 2 days. My dad's is on the same day as Hunter's. And finally I bring up the rear with my birthday on January 5th. Needless to say, I have been furiously trying to get all birthday cards finished.
I hope everyone is prepared for Christmas day! I still have some wrapping to do, and today I plan on doing some serious baking!!! I know now, that next year I will need to start working on Christmas stuff a lot earlier than I did this year! I also have a million birthdays to prepare for during the week after Christmas. Both of my daughters, my dad, my mom-in-law, my nephew, and some friends of the family. My birthday is January 5th, and by the time that rolls around, everyone is pretty spent.
I worked on an art journal for my nephew who is 8. He has been drawing some very impressive images, and I wanted to give him something that would encourage his creativity.
I covered the front with some fun boy paper, and then added my recent purchase from The Greeting Farm. His name is Tank, and I love his attitude!
I also had one last card that I forgot to post, and some teacher gifts I threw together.
Amelia gift tags.
I threw together the gift bags out of double sided paper, and stamped images on blank gift tags.
This month is flying by me! Too much to do, not enough time. Pretty much have the shopping done, but not a darn thing is wrapped yet!
Tied up some final loose ends on the ol' Christmas cards. I stopped by Bugaboo Stamps for a little peek, and ohhh, Nelly, cute stuff for Christmas!!
Sooo much fun!! Plus, they are having a 50% sale right now, which means their digital stamps are only $1.50! As you can tell, I stuck with a very "round" theme. I was trying to hurry, and didn't want to fussy cut all my images out, but I think they still look good. I also wanted to keep embellishments down to a minimum since they are all going through the mail. (hope they survive!)
Since it's almost the 15th, I have to say, 10 MORE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!! I don't think my kids can stand it!!
The first pics are a post-it pad easel card that I learned how to make from The Greeting Farm blog, and the second item is a gift tag wallet that I found on Splitcoaststampers. I was inspired by a card made by Amy Y. on one of The Greeting Farm's challenges, where she paper pieced a pair of p.j.s on her image. I have a clothes set from one of the older images that I used to put the red stripey p.j.s on Ebony.
I am freezing!! I woke up to a fair amount of snow that crept up on us overnight. It's a good day to be locked away in the craft room!
I have been trying to finish up my Christmas shopping, and got a fair amount done yesterday. My husband and I went during the day while most people were at work or school. I'm happy to report that I only have a few more to go! (sigh of relief)
I have only had a chance to finish up one more xmas card, and I wanted to share it with you today.
Her name is Amelia! She is from The Greeting Farm's Oliver and Amelia set, Journey.
I didn't really use xmas paper per say, but I think it will still work. I wanted to use the pearl embellishment and I had to actually cut the bottom off to make it look right, and then I took the left over from the bottom and moved it to the top of the circle. Pearls make everything look so darn classy!
Hope you all stay warm this weekend, and get lots of crafting done.
