Flowers

I hope I make it in time! I made a little something for Tiddly Inks Flower Challenge!

 This is Wryn-Spring Bling

She is so darn sweet! The patterned paper is from Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe. The butterfly and brad inside the flowers are from My Mind's Eye. The paper flowers and ribbon are from my stash.

Oooo, I got happy mail today!

I love me some Some Odd Girl! I finally ordered Nutsy Kaylee and Thank You Mae. They are just a few of the stamps I have had my eye on. And ya see that blue raffle ticket, that's going to be my big winner! I can just feel it! Mwahhh ha ha! (evil laughter)

And Lola makes 3!

We have a new niece named Lola!  What a fun name!  She was just born a few days ago, and I hurried to make a card for my SIL once I found out it was a girl!

This is Baby Snuggle Kaylee from Some Odd Girl.

Such a sweet image!  I love the little onesies paper, but I'm having a hard time remembering where I got it, I want to say Michaels.  The other two patterned papers were in my scraps box.  I have had a lot of pink lately, so I wanted to incorporate some other colors.  I cut out one of the onesies, and backed it with some white cardstock to make it a bit stronger.  Later I decided to write the baby's name on the heart.  I have had a little bag of tiny clothespins for a while, and this was a perfect opportunity to use one.  This is pretty CAS, I only added a little bit of bling.  The sentiment has some shimmer to it, that you can't see in the picture.  Hope my SIL likes it!

Something old..

I am finally, officially on summer vacation now!  My oldest daughter, Hunter, had her 8th grade graduation ceremony and is ready for high school! (I'm not!)

I had time to squeeze in a challenge, and I made something for The Greeting Farm's FFF-Oldest item.  It took me a minute, but as I looked around the room several things came to light!

I found the black flourish acetate embellishment that is behind her on top of the black and grey zig zag paper, I nearly forgot I had that.  The bright neon colored buttons have been in my button jar forever!  And the round scallop black piece of cardstock, is one of my very first punches.  I used paper from American Crafts Amy Tangerine pad, for both patterned papers on here. (that is NOT old)  Lots of black stitching and embroidery thread!  Topped it off with a wet embossed sentiment. (it's very glittery, just can't see it in the pic!)  I love the sassy-ness of this stamp, she's got a great outfit and hair!

I hope you all are having a great weekend!  I am trying to finish up a card for my SIL, she just had a baby and I found the perfect image at Some Odd Girl!  Should have that posted some time tomorrow!

Happy Memorial Day

First, and foremost, a big thanks to our troops and their families!  They all deserve a lot of love from us today, and everyday!

In our family we will spend part of Memorial Day celebrating our niece's First Communion.  Here is the card that I put together for the occasion!

This adorable gem is Angel Kaylee from Some Odd Girl!

I had so much fun with her, that I decided to do her up in green too!

So many little girls, and so much pink lately!  Gotta move on to some other colors for a while!  I used an older My Mind's Eye pad called Dwell for all of the pink patterned paper, except for the piece behind the sentiment, that is Echo Park Little Girl.  I used washi tape with some baker's twine and a button through the middle.  There are a few flowers held together with a MME brad, and some bling in each corner.

I hope you are all enjoying you holiday weekend!  Just a few more school days for my oldest daughter, and then she will officially be a "high-school-er"!  Man, I'm getting old!!!

Black/White/Color challenge

Yikes, been a while since I posted!  Crazy busy with some other projects!

I have managed to play along with the current challenge over at The Greeting Farm!  The FFF is black, white and one other color.  I had a lot of fun with this!!

This is one of the newest additions to the TGF family, Creeper Riley!  She is so funky, love her attitude!  PINK was my "other" color.  I used colors mostly in the RV family, with a few R's and V's thrown in there.  The sentiment is from TGF's Lucky Bunnies set, along with the heart.  I wet embossed the sentiment and heart, but it never shows up well in pics!  Her hoodie is paper pieced from Echo Park's Little Girl paper pad, along with the background pink plaid and pink/white polka dot surrounding the sentiment.  I used a few pieces of washi tape that I bought looooong time ago! (I always forget I have it!)  Slapped on a few stones and a flower, Voila!

Only a few more days of school, I'm so excited!!!

SOG Facebook challenge

Howdy girlies!!  I just finished my card for the Some Odd Girl Bright Colors Challenge

This is Sweet Tiny Tia!  She is a digital stamp over at SOG.  The bright paper I decided to use is from the Basic Grey paper pad- Lauderdale.  The heart embellishment is actually a pin that the receiver can keep for later.(once they yank of the glue dots!)  I just bought the cute little butterflies at Michaels, they are from Recollections.  I made the middle dark pink rose, and the navy blue crochet flower.  I colored her hair using Kristy's (from SOG) tutorial, you can see it here.  I can't wait to see all of the SOG new releases on Monday!!!

Challenge round-up

Ughhhh, anyone else having problems with Blogger!?  It's probably user error.

I have put together a few cards for some of my fav challenges!

The first is The Greeting Farm's FFF challenge-Monochromatic.

This is Paul from the Roll Call Kit.  I decided to go with blue because I hardly ever use it.  The star paper is from The Paper Studio. (I've had it forever..)  I used a couple different nesties, added a blue striped ribbon, put on a few blue stars for bling, and tied some embroidery thread through a blue star button.  The "superstar" sentiment rubber embellishment is from Close To My Heart.  His hair was done with E50, E53, E35.

This next card wasn't made for any challenges, but I was on a boy roll.

This is Flirty Edward from TGF's Roll Call Kit.  I used paper from Echo Park's Note To Self.  I added some corrugated paper behind the image, I love the texture.  The banner was made with a punch that I bought from Stampin' Up.  The sentiment is from TGF's Lucky Bunnies set.  His hair was done with E31, E33, E35.  This layout is from an old sketch challenge, but I liked it so much the first time, that I decided to do it again!

My next card is for two different challenges:

TGF Spiltcoast Stampers sketch challenge
Anyone For Anya photo inspiration

This is Cheeky Howdy from TGF.  I used paper from Crate Paper's Farmhouse pad, and My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side.  The edge punch is from Martha Stewart.  The sentiment is a Jillibean cardstock sticker.  I used E50, E31, E55 for her hair.

My last card is a fun image from Tiddly Inks.  I made a condolence card for my mom to give to my aunt.

 This is Wryn and Emmy.

These are the Copics I used for their hair.

The paper I used was from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Forever.  I also tied on some natural twine, and used a MME button.  I wet embossed the sentiment, which is from TGF.  Pretty simple layout with lots of flowers.  I really like the colors in this.

That's all for now!  Still have quite a few things on my "to do" list!
